This passage in Revelation 12:11 states, our testimony is a powerful weapon second only to the blood of the Son of God, in defeating our enemies. The thought is staggering; that you and I have with us at all times such a powerful weapon. Selah that for just a moment!!

Not only can we defeat the enemies in our own lives but also in the lives of those we love.

 

In Mark chapter 5 we read an account of Jesus casting legions of demons out of a man living in the tombs in the region of the Gerasenes. After the demons were cast out and the man was restored to his right mind, he begged Jesus to allow him to follow him. Jesus responded,

 

 

Jesus made this statement for two reasons. First because He wanted the man’s family and village to be saved but He also wants you and me to understand how powerful our testimony really is.

My ministry allows me to daily observe, people’s lives being changed, and even though I was there and witnessed it, I am still impacted by their testimony, when I hear them share it.

I received a testimony recently that so encouraged and enlightened me that I thought you might be encouraged as well. It is intriguing because it contains insights into how God at certain times opens the eyes of our heart or inner man to allow us to see into the spirit world. This happens often in our deliverance sessions.  The prophet Elisha prayed this for his servant who was terrified by the armies of Aram who had surrounded them.

Apostle Paul prayed the same prayer for the Ephesians.

As you read this incredible testimony, I hope you are as blessed and encouraged as I was.

Dear Jess,

 

I came to see you in your office during the conference in August. You helped me to conquer the spirit of death, which came upon me in Cameroon, West Africa.

 

I am still in total amazement of what happened. Our friends, Mat &. Sherrie Sands brought us to Yuba so that we might have another tool in our belt, as coordinators for Restoration Ministries in Eastern Oregon. None of us had any idea of what truly was going to take place. I only had an incomplete idea of what a deliverance conference was really about.

 

I perhaps mentioned to you that I was weary of life. No matter what I did, where I went, I felt compelled to think about death. It almost became a mantra to God, "Take me home, Take me home."

 

During one session it dawned on me that I had a spirit of death working within me. Gene and Sherrie, on their own accord, also felt I had this spirit working in me. I was amazed that what I had been thinking, two others would confirm it. And so the chain of events began until the time I walked into your office.

 

Most of what happened during my session with you is very clear. A few things Gene had to remind me of before I had recall. But all the major pieces are etched forever within me. I still can see the strong-man demon and his spider-like helpers, the blood red cord that the angels used to tie him up, and the demons hanging onto the edge of the volcano not wanting to go down. I remember the small demons saying something like, "we didn't do anything, he made us help him". And I can still feel the large angel in back of me, and the soldier angels chasing all the demons up the volcano....all this after seeing the large demon running towards my heart with the spear, and saying he was sent to split my heart in two. I know that Jesus truly gave us a miracle that day.

 

Later, I wondered why a volcano... why not chains like you talked about during the sessions??  It wasn't until we were driving home that I realized the significance of the volcano. And I was absolutely floored when God brought it to my mind. And this is why I am writing you today. In Africa, I lived 6500 feet on the side of Mt. Cameroon, an active volcano! I was awestruck at how God wanted me to truly believe that what happened was true, had actually happened and would be life-changing.

 

 

My life is so totally different now. People have approached me to tell me they see something different about me, some even say my eyes "look different". Gene and I have not gone backwards, but forward. We are so much closer, more in love and both desiring God to do an even greater work in us. Several times we have gone up into the mountains to pray in tongues, study God's word and go over our booklets, readying ourselves for more spiritual warfare. I certainly have not forgotten your word to me to practice speaking in tongues everyday. I even sing in tongues! .... Pretty good for being raised Baptist!

 

If you would like me to write a testimony, like you suggested in your office, I would need a copy of the notes you took during my deliverance. I am sure there are points that I can't remember during my experience.

 

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing God to use you in such a mighty way. I also read your book about Sarah. It showed me how much love you have for all of us that have suffered by the hand of Satan.
